Yarriambiack Murtoa Recreation Reserve Master Plan

  • Yarriambiack Murtoa Master Plan

Yarriambiack Shire Council require a Masterplan to be developed for the Murtoa Recreation Reserve.

The Masterplan will provide direction to the Yarriambiack Shire Council and Murtoa Recreation Reserve Committee for the management and development of the recreation reserve, including a 10-year plan for infrastructure provision, while further providing high-level conceptual plans for proposed works.

The project aim is to develop a Masterplan for the Murtoa Recreation Reserve, which provides the Yarriambiack Shire Council with:

    • Clear guidelines regarding the level and standard of sporting facilities at Murtoa Recreation Reserve that Council should provide for residents
    • A five to ten year costed strategy for the development and future provision of sporting facilities within the recreation reserve
    • Clear priorities and standards for the maintenance and development of infrastructure upon the sporting reserve
    • Clear definition of Council’s, other resource partners and the community’s role in the development of facilities
    • Identification of gaps in provision of recreation facilities and appropriate location for identified gaps, whether within existing reserve or elsewhere.

    Outputs will include:

    • Establish capital works priorities for the next 10 years including timelines and cost estimates / Quantity Surveyor reports
    • High-level conceptual plans for proposed works
    • Action plans for implementation
    • Strategic business plan
    • Final Masterplan
  • Have your say

@leisure would like to determine the following from the community, casual users and sporting and recreation clubs:

    • What do you value about Murtoa Recreation Reserve?
    • How could the park be improved?
    • What would encourage greater use of the park?
    • What are the issues, challenges and opportunities that the master plan needs to address?
    • What are the key priorities for maintenance and development?
    • Thinking about future generations, what is your vision for this park?
