• 25 October 2017 - Expression of Interest

    If you are a sporting club, community group, or health and fitness or wellbeing provider and are passionate about providing opportunities for the community to be healthy and active then we would love to hear from you!

    West Coast Council and @leisure Planners are seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals, providers or community organisations to run any of the following activities at the Queenstown and Rosebery Swimming Pools:

    • Swimming and aqua fitness classes
    • Sports activities
    • Personal training
    • Education/ training opportunities
    • Other wellness related activities
    • Exercise rehabilitation
    • Food and beverage related services
    • Birthday parties or events
    • Activities suitable for specific age groups: infants, children and adults, older adults, or all abilities 

    The expression of interest relates to the 2017/18 pool season, commencing December 1, 2017, and concluding on February 28 2018.

  • 18 October 2017 - Courses Royal Lifesaving Tasmania

    Applications are now closed for the Lifeguard and Pool Co-ordinator positions. Successful applicants will be contacted shortly for interviews.

    Royal Life Saving Tasmania is hosting a number of course in November for anyone interested in furthering their skills and training in the aquatic industry. See the attached flyer below for further information about the courses.

  • Project Background and Scope

    @leisure Planners was appointed by the West Coast Council to prepare a Aquatic Strategy. The Aquatic Strategy:

    • Assessed the condition of the existing pools, and review usage, pricing and performance.
    • Analysed the likely demand for aquatic facilities and services in West Coast
    • Presented options and a long-term plan for how swimming pools will ‘look’/operate in the future
    • Prepared a 1 year and a 3 year business plan for the operation of the swimming pool/s in a manner that is supported/understood by all stakeholders and within Council’s budget capabilities.

    The project report was submitted to Council in August 2017.

    We are now excited to annouce that West Coast Council has endorsed the West Coast Aquatics Strategy and sought the assisance of @leisure Planners to project manage the implementation of year one.
