Greater Geelong St. Leonards Lake Reserve Facility Development Plan

  • St. Leonards Lake Reserve Facility Development Plan

@leisure Planners has been engaged by the City of Greater Geelong to deliver a Facility Development Plan for St Leonards Lake Reserve which reflects stakeholder and community aspirations and provides a strategic framework for identified infrastructure upgrades ensuring facilities are compliant, fit-for-purpose, welcoming, gender neutral and provide access for all.

The need for the plan has arisen from stakeholders identifying issues and challenges within the reserve and their inability to meet the current and future sporting and recreation needs of the St Leonards Cricket Club, Bellarine Sharks Soccer Club and the wider St Leonards community in regard to accessible and welcoming facilities.

Ageing facilities, as well as growth in female sports participation, changing population and demographics all necessitate the need to review elements of the old Master Plan which is now a decade old.

    Stakeholder Engagement

We will engage with current user groups, specifically the St Leonards Cricket Club, Bellarine Sharks Soccer Club and the St Leonards Mens Shed.

    Project update - December 2021

The project team had an inception meeting with the City of Greater Geelong staff prior to Christmas.
